White Beauty

Hello Friends....look what a wonderful surprise we got yesterday morning....I was thinking, we will get early spring this year, but looks like nature has planned something else...but no complaints to that. Actually, I don't mind little bit of snow like this. Kids were jumping with joy....my older one certainly missed snow since we moved to North Carolina from Connecticut. She was prepared in no time to get out of the house, had some playtime in snow filled patio and younger one tagged along....

And I enjoyed watching and clicking their pictures...

and got some extra time to finish my new crochet project...very simple granny squares. I hoarded a lot of yarn last summer, shopping clearance mostly ...its time to put them to good use...

this one is going to be a new cushion cover for my arm chair....picture of finished project will be coming soon..

you can see my color scheme is inspired by this cute birdie.... I love birds and flowers ...

ending this post now with this bright picture...Mr Sun is back and room is filled with cheerful light.  I am off to make a cup of ginger tea...perfect day for sipping tea and enjoying the golden sunlight ...see you soon dear friends... and thanks a lot for your sweet comments on previous post...

Enjoy your day!!

Here comes Cock-A-Doodle-Do

Hello Friends... How are you all? Hope you all are doing wonderful...so we entered the month of February. January felt like a blink to me, came and went away so quickly. Last week, in my previous post, I shared some beautiful pics of rooster family....this up cycle project is totally inspired by it.

I like up cycling things, I get excited to use something that is easily available or free and turn it into something new. And what I hoard the most is empty plastic boxes, sturdy cardboard boxes and burlap sacks. Yes...we are a rice eating family...and we buy it in bulk.  For this project, I have used an empty rice sack and felt. I was running low on red felt, so I replaced it with old red cloth bag. It is an easy project, it took me half an hour to finish it. Now, I store my plastic bags inside this burlap chicken. Here are some pics for you, hope you will like it ...

My chicken is looking cute sitting on a kitchen counter....stuffed with the plastic grocery bags.

Let me know if you have any question.. See you soon!

Inspiration : Pinterest

Hi Friends...Hope you all are doing well. My today's post is totally inspired by my Pinterest Board. I pinned crochet jar a long time back , I am happy that I finally tried it. I will share the link to it so you can see more wonderful inspiration there to try. There are plain crochet jar cover as well. I decided to use my leftover yarn, adding some colors makes it more appealing. I am always picking small projects as they take little time to complete. But one day, I would like to crochet a big blanket for myself. I really liked crocheting now and my favourite learning resource is You Tube. You can learn a lot just by watching wonderful craft channels there. So here are the picture of the process...

Here is another easy peasy one, decorated with felt, ribbon and yarn. There are so many ways to
decorate empty glass jars...add little creativity to your abode. Hope you like the idea!

See you soon...

Puffy Paint

Hello Friends...I am sharing today a very easy project. I got Puffy Paint last summer for  my daughter's project. I guess, I have shared that one here on my blog, anyway today  I thought why not use it on a glass that was left behind after one of the picture frame broke. It's looking pretty neat on my bedside table. Here are some pictures...

Puffy paint comes in my colors..I have used Acrylic paint for making stems. Don't know if that is a good choice or not. But I am really Happy with the Puffy paint, I am going  to try more of it.

Here one flower was messed up so I used Sponge to lift up the color and clean it with damp rag and start again, as puffy paint comes with a attached tip all I did was gently squeeze the bottle for even color flow.

For making flower, I moved from inner circle to outer circle and double coat of green acrylic color. Hope you will like it. Leave me a comment below about what else you want to know or see about this or any of my previous projects. And I will see you soon.

Have a Good Day!
