Easy Crafting

hello friends...so spring has finally arrived but its really unspring like here. I just came back after dropping my son to school and its Sooo cold outside. I am really waiting for mild sunny weather,  hope it will bless us soon. Time is really flying fast I don't know where my days are going. March is going to end in five days, it went so swiftly. I am so looking forward to this Summer...I am going to India for my summer vacation YIPEE. I am going to see my parents after three years.I am really excited about it... Ok now, coming back to the project now that I am sharing today. These are real easy one, this brown shredded paper came in the box as a protection cover with our online order. I really like the color so I turned it into a small wreath like thing...now it hangs on my closet door..I am brushing my crocheting skill these days (will share my new crochet project in next post) so I ended up adding crochet flower to it.

This cute letter monogram made by my daughter....it is easy to make and is good fun project with kids. She is used beads and puffy paint to decorate. I painted the base with light blue acrylic paint with dark blue shading in between. Hope you will like these two easy peasy project. Have a good day!

I love chunky beads and I have combined them with wooden colorful beads which I am going to post later...For this bracelet I have recycled the old bracelet ...just replaced the beads as you can see here

Use any pattern you like...and once you are bored simply change the beads....

A Quick Makeover

Hello there...did you have fun playing Holi ? I enjoyed a lot... esp playing colors with my little boy.. so good to see colored faces and tasting yummy treats. I hope you will enjoy this quick makeover too. Last year, I got these chappals from Gujarat and I love them. They are little worn out now so I thought why not give them a new look. I got this packet of wooden beads from a dollar tree. These are (250 pieces..it's great deal for a dollar) for making bracelets and necklaces. I used my glue gun  to stick them on chappals. And in no time my old chappals have a new look again.

I picked these two... rest I will use for other project I am working on..and will share that one soon.

See you later

Play-Dough Flowers

Hello dear friends....guess what... I am playing with Play-dough these days. I made these beauties yesterday using play-dough. I really loved the way these flowers turned out...its addicting actually, once I started it I can't stop myself. I am still thinking about how I am going to use these flowers in my project. They are still soft ....it will take some time to dry. Play-dough comes in variety of colors and new shade can be  made mixing two colors together.
Hope you will enjoy the flower shower as you
scroll down. Have a great week ahead!

Paper Flower 2

Hello dear readers ...as I said in my previous post March is going to be the flowery one in my blog. So here comes the another project I did using paper flowers. Its real simple!...and you don't need much supplies for it. I have used construction paper and cardboard to construct it. I made a flower hanger keeping Om as a center. Om is written with golden acrylic paint and later attached to the flower base. Here is the link for variety of paper roses you can make. Hope this will be useful for your creative projects.

i used gunny sack to cover up the cardboard circle

Coffee Filter Flowers

Hello Dear Readers!! Are you feeling the change around you? I certainly do. Spring  has come with its warm air, bright and clear days. I can see the curly new leaves on the trees and flowers started blooming as well. Springs comes with lot of charm and fresh energy. I can't wait to pack my woolens back in the boxes. So keeping the spring theme in my mind, I have decided to make all my March posts, to be flower related. So there will be flower explosion in Deepi's World for sure.

Today's post is about coffee filter flowers. I have captured the process in pictures. For each flower you will need one coffee filter. I have soaked the six coffee filter in pink colored water ( by adding very little pink watercolor in about half cup water). It will quickly absorb the water then you can spread them on plastic sheet for drying. Once it dried you can clip petal shapes. For center part, I just colored the white paper with a yellow sketch pen and cut a fringed circle. I have used twigs and attached the flowers to it with glue and covered it with embroidery floss. I hope you can see them in pictures. You can use  tissue paper or crepe paper as well. Even drawing paper, just color it & cut the petal shape. Hope you like these pink blossoms!
