Paper Decor

Hello Friends... thanks for visiting my blog & Facebook page, I really appreciate it. Today, I am sharing this inexpensive decor idea that I saw on Pinterest. It's an easy project children will love it too. All you need is an old book or paper of your choice, a piece of a cardboard ( i cut mine in circle), and glue. It's  pretty simple, I folded the page in a cone shape and start gluing them on the cardboard circle one by one starting from the outer edge and then moving inward as you can see in pictures below...

after my circle is almost covered with paper cones, I added a rolled paper rose(used a construction paper)  in the middle...

and to compliment the blue flower I did some shading(using marker) on petals . Hope you will try it too. Here is a link to the Pinterest Board and Video you can watch!

Have a good day!

Paper Flower

It all started with one flower on a sunny afternoon and ended up filling a bucket by the evening. It easy to make these beauties and kind of addicting after making two or three. I made them last year using bright tissue papers.

But these light colours look pretty too... at this point I thought may be this will look nice as a wreath for front door...

and it ended up like this....well not bad I guess.

Origami

Hello Dear ....I know you all must be ready to enjoy your weekend....me too. But my hand will be and should be busy cleaning up my craft corner...it needs some serious attention.  I need to do some sorting and organizing. I guess sometimes in taking care of other things, I tend to neglect my craft supplies and related things, and most of the time I just shove them in big poly bags...and then things are out of sight so out of mind. This is something, I am going to change this weekend. Fingers crossed.

But for now I want to share these cute origami boxes that I have made. I guess these are great for giving small gift items and keeping small things like pins and paper clips in order. I have used construction paper and papers from old books and magazine to make them. Here is the link that has a easy demo ...hope you will enjoy.

Paper Flower 4

Hello dear friends.... aren't these peachy family of roses pretty? I love the softness of the color and how the delicate petals brings the darker hues in the middle. This is my last flower post for the month of March. I am getting addicted to flower making and spending more time on Pinterest. It's amazing to see so much creative talent out there. These roses made with coffee filter...I colored them in very light shade of orange. The small roses are made with 12 small circles and bigger ones with 20. You can use crepe paper too.... that will look wonderful too. Here are the pictures I took while making it. In April, I will be sharing some of my sewing projects.Hope you all have wonderful weekend!
