Origami

Hello Dear ....I know you all must be ready to enjoy your weekend....me too. But my hand will be and should be busy cleaning up my craft corner...it needs some serious attention.  I need to do some sorting and organizing. I guess sometimes in taking care of other things, I tend to neglect my craft supplies and related things, and most of the time I just shove them in big poly bags...and then things are out of sight so out of mind. This is something, I am going to change this weekend. Fingers crossed.

But for now I want to share these cute origami boxes that I have made. I guess these are great for giving small gift items and keeping small things like pins and paper clips in order. I have used construction paper and papers from old books and magazine to make them. Here is the link that has a easy demo ...hope you will enjoy.

Ruffled Ribbon

Hello there....hope you are having good time. We are half way through the month of January so quickly. This is my second project of the year...a quick recycling one. I loved this polka dot ribbon of my daughter's old dress. Since she is no longer wearing it I thought why not reusing the ribbon to dress up a plain skirt that she already has. I simply make ruffles and stitched it. I guess her skirt looking nice with new addition. What do you think?

I guess this will make a nice flower for hair clip too.

Pretty right? Bye for now....see you again with a next post.

Ribbon Flowers

Hello Dear friends ....I am glad to be back to my blogging world. Hope this year I will be consistent in my posting, bringing new ideas and sharing what I have learned watching others. Today's post is ...as you can see about head clips with fancy bows and flowers. I was watching some lovely you tube posts and tried making clips with the material I already have. This is what I made today...these are really simple. I will be doing one more post on this soon. I would really love to make Kanzashi flowers that I have seen...will certainly try that one.

I burned the edges for this red flower....and added black beads in the middle.

I have recycled the cute rabbit and butterfly ...looking neat on this flower. Hope you like it.

Felty Flowers

Hello Dear Friends.....Happy Rakshabandhan to all of you. I hope you all are having fun enjoying this joyous occasion. Miss Sunshine tied handmade rakhi to her brother. She was so proud that she made it all by herself. Though my little one didn't keep it for long but she was happy that she made it. I was happy too seeing her crafty adventures these days. Making paper planes and boats are her favorite thing to do these days. I finally, took some time off  to write this post today while lil one is napping and miss sunshine is busy with the scissors.

I can't believe.... I am writing my first post of August. Time is really flying so fast...anyone else? or it just me. I wish it can slow down a little bit. Anyway, these days I am getting addicted to flickr 's  pool of Japanese craft books. This work is inspired by the lovely images I saw there....I love bright colors so I made this tiny tissue cozy with felt and little embroidery. Do take time to check out the link.... you will enjoy it and will get inspired for sure. Have a happy weekend everyone.

Tweet Tweet

Hello Dear Friends...Today I have two little birdies to greet you! Sitting on a small log covered with tiny flowers my cute birdies will charm any one...I guess...

I made it just because I love birds....and enjoying so many of them in my backyard these days...its really a bliss...I used play dough again, I don't know how it is going to look when it will dry. May be I should get some clay for thing like this, but right now this is perfect for me.

I am happy to see my tweet tweet birdies....See you soon dear all!

I thought these flower will go well with the light base of the jute string i have used and will create a spring look too. When I started the project I had no idea that it can look this cheerful. I am off to start a new project...see you soon here.
