A Cute Storage Bin

Hello Dear friends...hope you all are doing well. This year, part of my goal is to organize better and find ways to teach children the same. Its really frustrating when you are searching for things around the house and you can't find it. So I am trying to simplifying things and making designated spots for every thing these days. And where I am going to start first...obviously the kitchen. One of the biggest challenge is to store the plastic grocery bags. I need it all the time for small garbage bins. Earlier I was shoving them in a bigger bag...well not now because I have made a pretty spot for it. So now, as soon as grocery bags come inside the house I fold them and put them in this cute container I made. Once the container is full I just recycle the rest.That way I am not collecting too much. Here are few pictures how I made it ...  

                               I decided to recycle this tomato can...I just painted it and mod podge some flowers on it.

                               Then to cover the top I made a canopy with a construction paper...

                                and its done.

Braided Scarf

Hi there...Hope this new year will bring health and happiness for everyone. So here I am bringing the first post of the month...soft cuddly braided scarf. Its easy and fun to make... all you need is a ball of pompom yarn and a little free time. Here are the pictures to explain...

   Step 1  line up your yarn divide them in equal parts....

 Step 2 Cut the ends and put a rubber band at one end and start braiding

Step 3 Tie up both ends with a yarn. You can add felt flowers or ribbon flowers to deck up

Here is the final look...since I am using pompom yarn you can hardly see the braid and it gives a fluffy look to this scarf

Wreaths

Wishing everyone a very Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!  

I made these cute wreath for gift giving ....little handmade gift to show my appreciation for my kids teacher.

these turned out nice and festive. 

                 

                                For wreaths I have used styrofoam circles, ribbons, felt flowers, and cut some sprigs that I got from local dollar tree and yarn....

Up cycled Baking Dish

 Hello Dear Friends....hope you all are well. I am blogging after a long gap. From last month I was totally away from creative work. Truth is its hard to get time  for creative work sometimes because lots of other things depend on you. I guess what I need is good time management. Hope I will be regular in my future postings.

Today I am sharing a quick up cycle project for you. I recently saw an idea of using old baking dishes for organizing purpose on Martha Stewart's website. I covered my unusable baking dish with a green printed duct tape.    

Its looking nice and printed duct tapes come in different designs and colors. Its a deep dish that can be used on counter for keeping mails, keys also. Hope it will inspire you to up cycle something . 

Welcome Autumn

Season is changing ...bringing more beauty in its canvas.  Warm colors outside and coolness in the air reminding Autumn is here .....

I am thankful for lot of things in my life ... just need to remember it everyday....and  embrace the life with smile

Play Dough Creations

hello to all...I updating my blog post after a really long time. Summer this year was fun and crazy busy with kids. But I am feeling happy that I am finally back to blogging again. Kids will be back to school next week. Everything is getting into order now, life will be again back to routine. Kids are excited going back to school so am I:).....I sure will have some time for me now.  

I have done some crochet things that I am going to share soon .Today I am sharing some fun play dough creations I made yesterday. I have a little four year old, who likes to make play dough candies for me. So yesterday I made some play dough cuties...they look so cute and I had fun making them. It reminded me of  childhood days I used to make small figures of  wheat dough..but color of play dough really add fun to it. So check out these cuties...
