hello to all...I updating my blog post after a really long time. Summer this year was fun and crazy busy with kids. But I am feeling happy that I am finally back to blogging again. Kids will be back to school next week. Everything is getting into order now, life will be again back to routine. Kids are excited going back to school so am I:).....I sure will have some time for me now.

I have done some crochet things that I am going to share soon .Today I am sharing some fun play dough creations I made yesterday. I have a little four year old, who likes to make play dough candies for me. So yesterday I made some play dough cuties...they look so cute and I had fun making them. It reminded me of  childhood days I used to make small figures of  wheat dough..but color of play dough really add fun to it. So check out these cuties...

Hello Dear Friends...Today I have two little birdies to greet you! Sitting on a small log covered with tiny flowers my cute birdies will charm any one...I guess...

I made it just because I love birds....and enjoying so many of them in my backyard these days...its really a bliss...I used play dough again, I don't know how it is going to look when it will dry. May be I should get some clay for thing like this, but right now this is perfect for me.

I am happy to see my tweet tweet birdies....See you soon dear all!

Butterflies & Mushrooms

Hi there...today I have come with a simple and beautiful idea. After my experiment with salt dough few month back, I got crayola clay from a craft store. I started the work thinking that I would make a bigger piece of Maa Durga this time but ended up making cute tiny mushrooms, birdies and other trinkets. Later, I saw this delightful project in a blog. I really like the simplicity of it so I made these beautiful butterfly pieces using crayola clay as base. With some branches and butterfly cut outs the project was done. This project is real simple. You can go to this link to see the inspiration behind this project. Here is my version of it. Hope you like it.

Cute mushroom...I painted them with acrylic color..

base is made crayola clay, dented with a straw to give it a nice texture....twigs are inserted on it.. after 2-3 days it turned solid (i used air dry clay) and twigs were fixed on the base...

some butterfly prints glued to it and job done!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Happy Navratri

Hello dear friends.....wish you all a very Happy Navratri. Festival season has already started with Maa's arrival. The air of joy and energy comes with the festival of Navratri, the nine days of festivities culminates with the celebration of Vijayadashmi. Festival brings a kind of energy and freshness to mundane life. It is a time to celebrate goodness and peace.

Celebration time also means cleaning and decking up your abode and making yummy sweets and loads of food. This festival season, I am going to share some colourful crafty ideas here in my blog...hope you find them interesting. Here I am sharing some pictures of Maa Durga which I made using home made Salt Dough and painted it with the acrylic colour. Salt dough is made using equal amount of flour and salt. After making dough, you can make any figure and put it into oven for 1-4 hours depending on the thickness of the figure. After it cools down you can colour it. It is a fun project to do it with kids. For detailed instructions, here is the link.

Have a great weekend everyone!
